This explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. It covers information about children, because that is most of what we handle.

What we collect

When you book a session or contact us, we collect the student’s name and age, the parent or guardian’s name, email address and phone number, and any notes you add about allergies or special concerns. When you buy a product we also collect your delivery address.

Payment details are handled by our payment provider through Wix. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and the last four digits of the card. We do not see or store your full card number.

Our website runs on Wix, which collects standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, using cookies and similar technologies.

Why we collect it

• To confirm and run your booking, and to contact you about it

• To take payment and keep financial records

• To prepare properly for a student with an allergy or special need

• To send session confirmations and reminders

• To send occasional emails about upcoming camps, if you have opted in

 

Children’s information

Our services are for children, but this website is directed at parents and guardians. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to book a session or create an account themselves. Information about a child is collected from their parent or guardian during booking.

We collect the minimum we need: the child’s name, their age, and anything you choose to tell us about allergies or special needs. We do not ask children for information directly, and we do not use children’s information for advertising.

Photographs of children are covered by our Photo & Media Release and are only published where a parent or guardian has given permission.

If you believe we hold information about your child that you did not provide, contact us and we will delete it.

 

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information. We share it only with the services we need to run the business:

• Wix — hosts our website, booking system and store

• Our payment provider — processes card payments

• Anyone we are legally required to share it with

 

How long we keep it

Booking and contact records are kept for 3 years after your last session. Financial records are kept for 7 years to meet tax requirements. Signed photo releases are kept for as long as we use the images.

 

Your choices

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you or your child, correct it, or delete it. Email marcina@lovingmyhairexclusives.info and we will respond within 30 days. Deleting a booking record may mean we cannot honour a deposit that was carrying over.

 

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any of them. You will still receive booking confirmations and reminders, because those are part of the service you paid for.

 

Cookies

Our site uses cookies to keep the booking and shop working, remember your session, and understand how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the site may stop working properly if you do.

 

Security

We rely on Wix’s security measures to protect information held on the site. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
